Kyle Farmbry began serving as the 10th president of Guilford College on Jan. 1, 2022. Previously, he was a professor in the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University-Newark, where he was also Dean of the Graduate School. Before joining Rutgers, he taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio, San Diego State University and Grand Valley State University.

Farmbry’s research and programmatic work has been supported by the Open Society Foundations, the South African Department of Higher Education and Training, the United States Fulbright Commission, and the United States Embassy in South Africa. He received his B.A., M.P.A. and Ph.D. from The George Washington University and his J.D. at the Rutgers University School of Law.
