Kyle Cavanaugh is vice president for administration at Duke University, where he is responsible for human resources, security and police, emergency management, parking and transportation, and other administrative functions. Before coming to Duke, he held senior positions at the University of Florida, The University of Texas at Austin, Rice University and Vanderbilt University. Before entering the higher education field, he led health promotion and occupational health services at AT&T.

Cavanaugh earned his B.A in special, elementary and early childhood education from Tusculum College and holds three master's degrees -- in business administration from Belmont University, in health promotion and exercise science from Vanderbilt University, and in special education from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
