Andrea Sticha is the research director for the Initiative for Financial Decision-Making at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and the deputy academic director at the Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center (GFLEC). She also serves as a member of the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada’s Research Committee on Financial Literacy and as a lecturer at the University of Basel.

Sticha’s research is dedicated to financial literacy and wellbeing of households in the U.S. and around the world. Before joining Stanford, she was an assistant research professor at the George Washington University School of Business. She has also developed an online advanced studies course in financial market theory and worked as an analyst at HSBC. She holds a Ph.D. in finance and an M.Sc. and B.A. in business and economics from the University of Basel (Switzerland).
