Trevor Michael is managing director and head of impact investing for the TIAA-CREF organization. Previously, he managed the general account real estate domestic equity investments. Prior to that, he was the Head of Global Real Estate Asset Management responsible for the overall strategy, performance, and day-to-day activities of the organization’s domestic and international real estate investments. Since joining TIAA-CREF in 1988, Mr. Michael has served in several capacities with diverse responsibilities, ranging from debt portfolio management, to equity asset management and real estate acquisitions.
Mr. Michael has 28 years of real estate experience. Previously, he practiced corporate and banking law in New York and Connecticut, respectively.
Mr. Michael earned a B.S. in political science from the University of Rochester and a J.D. from Quinnipiac School of Law. He is a member of Real Estate Executive Council (REEC), ULI, ICSC and PREA.
