Philip McAndrews is senior managing director and Chief Investment Officer of Global Real Estate for the TIAA-CREF organization. Mr. McAndrews is responsible for TIAA’s real estate investment operations in the U.S. Prior to his current position, he was head of Global Real Estate Transactions and Joint Ventures for TIAA, supervising six teams responsible for mortgage origination, acquisitions, sales, and separate account joint venture relationships. Mr. McAndrews has also served in several other senior real estate investment positions, including the head of Global Real Estate Portfolio Management and Portfolio Manager of the TIAA Real Estate Account. He joined the TIAA-CREF organization in 1990 and has over 30 years of real estate experience.
Mr. McAndrews holds a B.S. in Finance from The State University of New York and a J.D. from the University of Toledo. He is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association, Urban Land Institute, Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate, National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers and International Council of Shopping Centers. Mr. McAndrews has previously served on the board of directors of the National Multi Housing Council.
