Karina Bubeck is a director for the TIAA-CREF organization. Ms. Bubeck is a member of the emerging markets fixed-income research team. Her primary research responsibilities are Latin American corporate issuers across various sectors including financials, pulp and paper, telecom and media, oil and gas, and utilities among others. Previously, she was the South American regional analyst from 2011 to 2012, covering both sovereigns and corporates. Prior to 2011, Ms. Bubeck also covered Mexico, Central America and Caribbean sovereigns and corporates. She has also covered Mexico, Central American and Caribbean sovereigns and corporates, and EMEA corporates within the Emerging Markets groups. Ms. Bubeck has also served as a credit analyst on the Domestic Private Placement team. She joined TIAA-CREF in 2003.
Ms. Bubeck has 15 years of industry experience. Prior to joining TIAA-CREF, she worked at BBVA, S.A., a multinational financial services organization, where she directed the bank’s investor relations efforts in the U.S. She also worked at Salomon Smith Barney in the Equity Research group.
Ms. Bubeck holds a B.B.A. in international business from Baruch College and an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She is a member of the CFA Institute, the New York Society of Securities Analysts and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
