Andy Leicester is a Director in Global Private Markets for the TIAA-CREF organization. As part of the Energy & Infrastructure direct investing private equity team, Mr. Leicester is responsible for reviewing and purchasing new equity investments with a focus on the infrastructure and oil and gas industries. Over the last few years with TIAA, Mr. Leicester has secured approval to invest in over $1.75 billion of private equity investments. His prior role also included debt private placements during which Mr. Leicester closed and funded $506 million in new investments while monitoring a $1 billion portfolio of project finance and debt private placement investments. He joined the TIAA-CREF organization in 2008.
Mr. Leicester has 16 years of industry experience. Prior to joining TIAA-CREF, Mr. Leicester worked at Wachovia Securities and Morgan Stanley, where he originated and distributed private placement deals and distributed corporate bonds and preferred equities, respectively.
Mr. Leicester earned a B.S.B.A. in finance from Boston University where he was appointed a Harold C. Case scholar, and an M.B.A. in finance from Cornell University.
