TIAA-CREF consumer website earns first place from Dalbar in Life Insurance and Annuity category


TIAA-CREF earned first place in a ranking of life insurance and annuity consumer web sites for the third quarter of 2012 by DALBAR, a financial services market research firm.

TIAA-CREF Life Insurance Company introduced enhanced websites dedicated to life insurance and after-tax annuities last year. The new sites are easier to navigate and provide richer educational content and planning tools to help clients learn about the products and make informed financial decisions.

DALBAR's WebMonitor program continuously analyzes financial services websites to evaluate their effectiveness in maximizing their online presence by incorporating content and functionality in a consistent, appealing and user-friendly manner. DALBAR’s criteria consist of five broad evaluation categories: Functionality, Usability, Behavior Centric, Consistency and Currency.

DALBAR develops standards for, and provides research, ratings, and rankings of intangible factors to the mutual fund, broker/dealer, life insurance, property and casualty, and managed account industries. Measurements include investor behavior, customer satisfaction, service quality, communications, Internet services and financial professional ratings.
