Company recognized for policies and programs that attract, retain and support working moms
For the second year in a row, TIAA-CREF has earned a place on the Working Mother 100 Best Companies list.
TIAA-CREF, which this year was ranked 56 in the top 100 companies, has taken multiple steps over the past several years to ensure we are fostering a supportive workplace, including:
Companies were evaluated based on benefits, women’s issues and advancement, childcare, workforce profile, flexible work, company culture and work life programs, paid time-off and leaves, both in terms of access and usage company-wide.
“As the employee population evolves and changes, it’s important that we as a company make adjustments to ensure we are supporting our employees in the best possible way. Making this list for the second consecutive year shows TIAA-CREF is making strides in the right direction,” said Skip Spriggs, EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer. “I look forward to our future as we continue to develop and implement programs and offerings to better serve the needs of our working mothers and the employee population as a whole.”
TIAA-CREF’s own Teresa Hassara, Senior Managing Director and Head of Institutional Client Services, was also featured in an accompanying article that takes a look at how today’s working mothers can harness the demands of their occupations to help keep them focused and engaged when it comes to their life at home (http://www.workingmother.com/best-companies/upside-stress ).
