Can I have printed statements as well as an electronic copy sent to me? You can elect e-delivery of your statements via the email tab in Secure Access. In addition, when your statement is available there is also an option within Documents to receive a hard copy by selecting the "send by mail" tab. This will generate a hardcopy of your report.
How do I sign up for electronic delivery? The TIAA-CREF website allows you to arrange for electronic delivery of prospectuses, supplements, financial statements, contract riders, our privacy policy, and proxy solicitations. You will need to log into Secure Access (if you do not have Secure Access, follow the directions for Creating a Login, in the Getting Started section). Then click on the email tab from the dashboard. On the following page select "click here" beside "E-delivery" and then select just the documents you want to receive or click "Select all" and submit.
How do I update my email address? In order to change your email address, you will need to log into Secure Access and select email from the dashboard. Enter your new email address on the following page and click on Submit changes. Your new email address is effective immediately.
When logged in to Secure Access, I receive a message stating that I have "no mail." How do I get mail? You are referring to the "Documents" section of Secure Access. In order to view your quarterly report online you will need to make this request online. To sign up for future electronic deliveries you will need to log into Secure Access, select the email tab on the dashboard then select "click here" beside "E-delivery" and select only the documents you would like to receive electronically or "select all".
How do I change the electronic delivery preference back to postal mail? To change your electronic delivery preference back to postal mail you will need to log into Secure Access and select the E-mail tab at the top of the page. On the next page, select "click here" beside "E-delivery" then unselect the items that you no longer want to receive electronically.
When I attempt to view my quarterly report, I get an error stating that my password does not match. Why can’t I view my statements online? This type of message usually indicates that the email address that we sent your email to is shared by two participants. If one of you opens the email that is meant for the other, then you will get this message. You will need to log in using the separate and individual login for each email.
If you want to reduce the pile of written materials that you receive in the mail, you can arrange for electronic delivery of a variety of communications such as prospectuses, financial supplements, account statements, our privacy policy, proxy solicitations and some publications.
Simply log into Secure Access and select only the documents you want to receive electronically or "select all." Be sure to log out when you are done.
"All" includes both, personalized and nonpersonalized regulatory documents that TIAA-CREF is required to send to customers (e.g., the CREF Annual Report and the Real Estate Account Prospectus, Quarterly Reviews and Mutual Fund Quarterly Statements). "Some" will provide you with a list of all available documents where you choose which ones you want to receive by email. "None" will provide no reports or documents electronically.
Materials that you choose to receive electronically will no longer be sent to you in paper form.
