TIAA-CREF Life Funds Special Shareholder Meeting to be Held on March 23, 2010
Mailing of the TIAA-CREF Life Funds ("Life Funds") special proxy materials begins around January 25, 2010. If you are a contract-owner of an after-tax variable annuity and/or a variable life contract issued by TIAA-CREF Life Insurance Company with investments in one or more of the Life Funds, you are able to give voting instructions in connection with the special proxy.
You must have been a contract-owner as of the record date, January 12, 2010, in order to provide voting instructions about the adoption of a new investment advisory agreement.
You can provide your voting instructions in any of the four ways:
- By marking, signing and mailing the instruction form in the postage-paid envelope provided;
- By logging onto the Internet site shown on your instruction form and following the on-screen instructions;
- By calling the toll-free telephone number shown on your instruction form and following the recorded instructions; or
- By providing your instructions in person at the Meeting.
Regardless of your voting method, your vote is confidential. Your vote must be received by 6:00 p.m. ET on March 22, 2010 if you return your form via mail, telephone or Internet.
If you have previously registered your preference for electronic delivery, you will not receive the materials by mail. If you would like to receive future proxy solicitations and voting materials by email, log in to your account to update your profile.
This special proxy does NOT affect participants with investments in the CREF Accounts, TIAA Real Estate Account, TIAA Traditional Annuity, or TIAA-CREF Funds (including the TIAA-CREF Lifecycle Funds and TIAA-CREF Lifecycle Index Funds).
The Life Funds special meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. ET at 730 Third Avenue, New York, New York (17th floor).
