Investment Objective
The fund seeks a favorable long-term total return that reflects the investment performance of the overall U.S. stock market while giving special consideration to certain social criteria.
Portfolio Strategy
The fund invests primarily in equity securities that meet its social criteria. The fund attempts to track the return of the U.S. stock market as represented by the Russell 3000® Index, while investing only in companies whose activities are consistent with the fund's social criteria. It does this by investing in companies included in the KLD Research & Analytics, Inc.'s ("KLD") Broad Market Social IndexSM (the "KLD BMS Index"), which is a subset of companies in the Russell 3000® screened to eliminate companies that do not meet certain "social" criteria.
