The Dow Jones Wilshire Real Estate Securities Index is derived from the Dow Jones Wilshire Real Estate Index, which measures the performance of publicly traded real estate securities, and is designed to serve as a proxy for direct real estate investment by institutions. For periods prior to June 30, 2007, the performance shown reflects the full market capitalization weighted version of the index, which was terminated by Dow Jones Wilshire on June 29, 2007. For periods after June 29, 2007, performance reflects the float adjusted market capitalization version of the index, which is based on the shares of stock that are unrestricted and available for trading. You cannot invest directly in this index.
