Before You Open an IRA
Make sure you have the following information on hand:
- Social Security number
- Names and dates of birth of beneficiaries
- Tax ID number (if Trusts are to be designated as beneficiaries)
- Employer's name and address (for Rollovers)
- Account statement(s) from current provider(for rollovers and transfers)
- Bank account information (to establish EFT)
- TIAA-CREF Contract/account numbers (where can I find this?)
