• Obtain an enrollment form from you or sign up online (in which case, you would have to provide them with an access code). Remind them to review the prospectuses.
• Employees can get access to our Online Enrollment System by going to www.tiaa-cref.org. From the "Open an account" drop down menu in the upper left they should select "Retirement Plans". "Apply Online Now!" will take them to the system.
• Determine their risk tolerance and select the appropriate portfolio allocation. Use the Asset Allocation Evaluator to help.
• Designate beneficiaries to receive the vested benefits in the event of their death.
• If the employee completes a paper form, they should return it to you. If necessary, they should also complete a salary-reduction agreement.
